Meet Kaperni, Our Favorite Little Spooder 🕷️💛

A year ago, I found a tiny bold jumping spider on my car and named her Kaperni. True to her name, she was fearless—staying on my car during a long 3½-hour winter drive from the gym to work and then to visit home! For a while, I worried she had passed away or found a new home. Over the summer, she would pop up here and there, and I’d always say hello, loving the little moments we shared.

Then winter came, and I stopped seeing her. I thought she had moved on or passed away, and I felt a little sad missing those random appearances that had brightened my days.

This past spring, Kaperni reappeared! I decided she needed a cozy home with me. I quickly fell in love with the world of jumping spiders—creating cute little enclosures, decorating them, and watching her explore. Before long, Kaperni had babies! Seeing her little ones thrive filled me with joy, and that’s how Lil Spooder Things was born. Now, I get to share the magic of these tiny, lively spiders with others. Kaperni will always be the heart of our shop, living up to her name as bold, curious, and full of personality, reminding us how something so small can bring so much happiness.
